About me
Matt Campbell is the founder, Director and Licensed Builder behind Areasquare Construction. With more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, Matt has built a reputation for quality workmanship, practical problem-solving and attention to detail.
Originally commencing his career in country Victoria, Matt moved to Queensland in the early 1990s, where he established a successful carpentry business before obtaining his builder's licence and founding Areasquare Pty Ltd in 2003.
Throughout his career, Matt has delivered a diverse range of residential and commercial projects, including custom homes, extensions, renovations, Queenslander restorations, house raises and townhouse developments. His strong carpentry background remains at the heart of his work, with a particular passion for quality timber construction, traditional character homes and seamless renovations that blend old and new. Matt is known for his ability to bring together complex projects through practical design solutions, quality materials and a keen eye for detail.
Today, Matt continues to work closely with clients, consultants and trades to deliver projects that stand the test of time while building strong relationships within the communities he serves.
My experience
Over three decades, Matt has successfully managed and delivered hundreds of building projects across South East Queensland. His experience spans custom homes, major renovations, extensions, house raising and restumping, commercial fit-outs, townhouse developments and investment property construction.
Matt has developed particular expertise in renovating Queenslanders and character homes, where careful planning, structural knowledge and craftsmanship are essential to achieving a seamless result. He is highly regarded for his practical approach to construction, ability to solve complex building challenges and commitment to quality outcomes.
