About me
Hamish is a Lead Carpenter at Areasquare Construction, bringing a combination of practical trade expertise, leadership and technical knowledge to every project. Hamish has spent much of his life around construction sites and developed a strong appreciation for quality workmanship from an early age.
After completing his carpentry apprenticeship in Queensland, Hamish has built extensive experience across renovations, extensions, decks, new homes and commercial construction projects. He has a particular interest in character home renovations, where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential to achieving seamless results.
Alongside his trade qualifications, Hamish is undertaking university studies in engineering, further strengthening his understanding of construction, design and problem-solving. Known for his practical approach, strong work ethic and commitment to quality, Hamish works closely with clients, trades and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.
My experience
Hamish has experience delivering a broad range of residential and commercial building projects throughout South East Queensland. His work includes renovations, extensions, decks, structural alterations, new homes and commercial refurbishment projects, including hospitality and accommodation upgrades.
As a Lead Carpenter, Hamish regularly coordinates trades, manages day-to-day site activities and oversees construction works from commencement through to completion. He has independently led projects, including residential construction works on Macleay Island, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to manage complex projects in challenging environments.
With a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in carpentry, Hamish is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining the practical, client-focused values that have been central to Areasquare Constructions since its establishment.
